Pistol type measuring instrument

Measuring instrument function

Measure the actual tooth thickness (or slot width) and effective tooth thickness (or slot width) of the internal and external splines of the component.

Principle of measuring instrument

Using comparative measurement method, with the calibration value of the gauge tooth thickness (or tooth groove width) as the reference, the relative displacement of the measuring surface is outputted as an equivalent value by an indicator device through the transmission system, so as to compare and detect the actual tooth thickness (or tooth groove width) and the effective tooth thickness (or tooth groove width) of the measured part.

Advantages of measuring instruments

On site inspection is more convenient and fast, with high measurement accuracy and good stability.

Measuring instrument form

The pistol style spline gauge has holes and shafts, and can be used as a mechanical or digital meter. Each set of specialized pistol type measuring instruments is equipped with a three piece clamping spline body (with upper and lower splines fixed and aligned, rotatable in the middle), a calibration gauge, and a repeatability of less than 0.002mm.
